Engineered and made in Germany, D.A.M. have enjoyed huge success in its relaunch of a range of reels and rods from its classic product lines.
The DAM 1000 series reels are technically based on the well proven and almost indestructible Direct-Drive system of a specially cut massive brass drive gear and an adittional special-cut stainless steel pinion gear.
The oscillation and line lay is guided by D.A.M.'s own S-oscillation system. Like in the old times the spool is equipped with a 4 point line lay adjustment system for extremely thin or thick lines, which makes it ideal if you are frequently using the same gear for off-shore and on-shore applications.
Also the very practical QUicK®-snap handle folding system from the past is part of the DAM 1000 series features.
No less than 10 Stainless Steel ball bearings are used throughout the construction of these reels.
